Eric Bana negocia para convertirse en el protagonista de Beware the Night, un thriller sobrenatural que dirigirá Scott Derrickson (Sinister, El exorcismo de Emily Rose), que también coescribirá el guión con Paul Boardman, su colaborador habitual. Produce Jerry Bruckheimer.
Si Bana finalmente llega a un acuerdo con Bruckheimer, interpretará a un oficial de policía neoyorquino, que investiga posesiones demoníacas y actividades paranormales. El papel le fue ofrecido a Mark Wahlberg, pero éste finalmente desechó el trabajo.
