, de Richard Linklater, ha sido la gran triunfadora de la noche de los Globos de Oro, al hacerse con 3 premios, entre ellos los de mejor película dramática, director y actriz de reparto (Patricia Arquette).
La lucha con el film de Alejandro González Iñárritu fue reñida, pues éste ganó en las categorías de guión y actor cómico (Michael Keaton). No fue en cambio escogido como mejor comedia, honor que recayó por sorpresa en El gran hotel Budapest.
Eddie Redmayne como Stephen Hawkins en La teoría del todo. fue reconocido como mejor actor, y el mismo film se llevó el premio por la banda sonora. Como mejor actriz de drama ganó la favorita Julianne Moore, por su enferma de alzheimer Siempre Alice. En la categoría de comedia, la agraciada fue Amy Adams, por Big Eyes.
En el apartado televisivo, las series ganadoras fueron The Affair en el apartado dramático y Transparent en el cómico. Mientras que Fargo fue recompensada como mejor miniserie.
